Jonathan Nominates Obanikoro, Six Others As Ministers

President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded the names of seven new ministers to the Senate for  confirmation, African Independent Television [AIT] is reporting.

Among the nominees are a former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, Kenneth Kobani, a former National Treasurer of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN], who recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, and a former Senator, Patrick Akwashiki.
Mr. Obanikoro was one of the biggest casualties of the gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], after resigning his ministerial position on October 15 to vie for the party’s ticket in Lagos for the 2015 election.
He lost to Jimi Agbaje, a relatively less known candidate, who had the backing of the party’s most powerful leaders in Lagos.
Alongside Mr. Obanikoro, former ministers Emeka Wogu, Labaran Maku, Onyebuchi Chukwu, and Samuel Ortom, also lost their bids after leaving their posts to contest in their respective states.
Mr. Obanikoro rejected the Lagos results and filed a legal challenge against the declaration of Mr. Agbaje as winner, kicking off a row that has the potential to ruin any chances the party may have in snatching Lagos from All Progressives Congress, APC in 2015.
The logjam was finally been resolved amicably after President Goodluck Jonathan assured Mr. Obanikoro he would reappoint him to cabinet as part of a deal personally brokered by the President to get him to discontinue his legal challenge of the PDP governorship primary result for Lagos State.
Mr. Obanikoro later withdrew his court case, at the same time promising to fully support Mr. Agbaje as the PDP candidate

Woman in whose boys’ quarters president lived with his uncle speaks…

Madam Ajie
For those who where in Oguta, in Imo State a few years before the Civil War, the name “Aguduma” would bring back memories. It was the qualification of a young boy, whose friends considered too handsome and therefore, nicknamed him “Aguduma,” meaning “Handsome Goodluck.”
goodluck jonathan 2
That boy, today, has become a man. He’s not an ordinary man, but one, who has risen from, perhaps, a nobody to the pinnacle of Nigeria’s leadership. That boy is today the president of Nigeria. That boy is President Goodluck Jonathan.
Yes, President Jonathan once lived in Oguta. While there, before the war, he attended St. Paul’s Anglican Church Primary School. He was nicknamed ‘Aguduma” by his peers in primary school.
Telling  the story of Jonathan, as a boy growing up in Oguta, Madam Emilia Ajie, from Ogbaru area of Anambra State, revealed that the president lived with his uncle, popularly called Chief and his son in their (Madam Emilia) compound at the Kalabari Beach, in Oguta 11. According to the septuagenarian, Jonathan was always ill-treated by his uncle, who never bought him school books, sandals or other things he needed for school. She revealed that Jonathan was always the last, among the pupils who lived in the compound, to go to school daily because of house chores he must complete every morning. Madam Emilia further revealed that President Jonathan has always been a quite and respectful person, who, even in the face of hardship inflicted on him by his uncle, refused to accept unsolicited gifts from people. She revealed that even when his uncle left him behind for home, the young Jonathan engaged himself in menial jobs to survive.
According to her, “Goodluck is a very quite and respectful person, even in the face of hardship inflicted on him by his uncle, who was popularly called Chief and we always felt sorry for him because of the way his uncle was treating him. They were then living in our boys’ quarters. His uncle’s son usually did nothing. It was Goodluck, who did everything in the house, including cooking.” Madam Emilia recalled that at the end of the civil war, in 1970, President Jonathan’s uncle, who she said had married an Izombe woman, left him and his son, who were yet to finish their primary school education at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Primary School, Kalabari Beach, Oguta 11, behind and promised to come back for them. She stated that the uncle later sent for his son, while the young Jonathan was left behind in Oguta to fend for himself. “When Chief, Goodluck’s uncle, left with his wife, who was from Izombe, for their hometown, he had left behind his son and Goodluck because they were still in school and had promised to come back for them. But after his son finished his primary school, Chief sent for him and left Goodluck behind,” she said.
She revealed how Jonathan once had an accident that frightened everybody. According to her, “one days, while Goodluck was still living in our compound, he had gone to pluck mango with other young boys, but fell from the tree and as I was returning from the market I heard children shouting that ‘Aguduma’ had fallen off the mango tree and I quickly rushed to scene and used my head-tie to bind his fractured right hand. “My husband’s brother, popularly known as Ajasco, who was returning from the farm, had carried him (Jonathan), with the assistance of other children and took him to a popular traditional bonesetter in the neigbourhood, called Nwanyiogu from Mgidi but married to Kalabari man. And while he was receiving treatment for his injured hand, we were always bringing him food because both his uncle and the son had gone back to their hometown.” Madam Emilia pointed out that since Jonathan left Oguta in 1972 she has not set eyes on him again nor heard anything about him. She revealed that she only got to know that Jonathan had become the president of Nigeria when she saw, in 2011 an Almanac bearing his photograph and had exclaimed: “Look at Goodluck!”
She stated that as she shouted, the man who was selling the almanac asked what happened. On telling him that she knew Jonathan, she said, the man told her that Goodluck was the president of Nigeria. Waxing philosophical, she said: “Whatever God has destined for anybody must come to past because nobody will ever have thought that Goodluck will, one day become the president of Nigeria. I thank God for his life because he really suffered under his uncle and most times I had asked him then if his parents were alive and he always said yes, but through out his stay in our compound, his parents never visited him.” Also, talking about his experiences with Jonathan, Patrick Ajie, Madam Emilia’s son, who is now a staff of the Imo State Fire Service, recalled how the president and his uncle and son lived in their boys’ quarters at Kalabari Beach in Oguta 11.
He said that when President Jonathan arrived Oguta with his uncle, he started at Primary Four, at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Primary School, which was established by the Kalabari people in Oguta 11. He revealed that Jonathan finished his Primary Six in the school. Ajie corroborated his mother’s story that even after Jonathan’s uncle invited his son home, to join him and wife, President Jonathan continued to live with them.
On how Jonathan left Oguta, he stated that they did not see him for about two days, at that time, and therefore made inquiry from some Ijaw, who told them that he had gone to Egbema in search of one of his relatives. According to him, that was the last they heard of him until they heard about his emergence as president. “President Goodluck Jonathan had lived with his uncle and his son, who was younger, in my father’s compound at Kalabari Beach in Oguta. We occupied the main building, while they lived in the ‘Boys Quarters’. It was from there that he completed his primary school at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Primary School and he had started at From Four. Of course, he was my senior in the same school. Even his uncle returned to their hometown, with his new wife from Izombe and left behind Goodluck and his son. He had promised to come for them when they were through with their primary school education. But later his uncle sent somebody to bring his son back to their home town and left Goodluck behind with us.” Ajie said Jonathan later left between 1972 and 1973, first to Egbema, in search of one of relatives and finally to his village.
On whether he had ever met Jonathan, since he became president, Ajie said no, as nobody has allowed him into the presidential villa of the president’s Otuoke home. Said he: “I have tried severally to see him. I had even gone to Bayelsa and Abuja, but my all efforts have proved abortive. I wanted to see him at least to rekindled old times because we had a very good relationship with him while he and his uncle were living in our compound.”
Asked if he though Jonathan would recognize him in a crowd, as they parted ways as young people, he stated that he was not sure, but added that the president would never forget that he ever lived in the compound of the Ajies in Kalahari Beach, in Oguta.

Human ken doll..half human half plastic

Rodrigo Alves has already spent nearly $190,000 on plastic surgery — and he recently dropped another $76K on a six-in-one procedure.

The newest Human Ken’s most recent procedures include a nose job (his fourth overall) and a surgery to fix his “droopy” eyes.

The most gruesome of his surgeries was a $6,000 operation in which the skin around his mouth and gums were cut to make his smile “bigger.”

Even though the 31-year-old flight attendant says he now has his dream body, he doesn’t intend on stopping anytime soon!

“It’s a long process. It is long-term maintenance. ” he explained. "Once you start, it is difficult to stop. Naturally, I’m a perfectionist. It’s like a snowball effect and I’m not going to stop. It doesn’t define the man that I am — I’m much more than silicone and cosmetic surgery — but once you get started, it’s difficult to stop.”

Rodrigo first went under the knife more than a decade ago, in 2004, when he felt he was “too unattractive” to fit in with the stylish friends he made while studying in London. Since then, he’s had several nose jobs, pec and ab implants, several rounds of liposuction and routine Botox/filler replacements to maintain his look.

When asked why he indulges in so much plastic surgery, he gave an answer that everyone can relate to — in one way or another.

“I’m quite hard on myself and I’m scared of getting old,” he confessed. “That’s the truth.”

He hopes that with his latest round of surgeries, he will be more symmetrical — and therefore, more beautiful.

“The theory of beauty is to look symmetrical,” he said. “I’m hopefully going to look more symmetrical after this, and therefore more beautiful. It is hard to open my eyes and hard to breathe too but I have a lovely nurse here looking after me.”

Abuja women explain why they cheat on their husbands

Some married people in Abuja has identified the need for material possession as the major reason for infidelity among married couples.

Respondents in separate interviews with the also mentioned the desire to satisfy emotional needs as another contributory factor.

Mr Lotanna Obi, a civil servant, said he was cheating on his wife not because he loved her less but for the sole purpose of ''catching some fun''.

He said: ''My marriage is one of the best because my wife, who is God-given, is an understanding woman and she tolerates me a lot.

''Yet, I still find myself cheating on her just for the fun of it. This does not in any way diminish the love I have for her and my lovely kids.

''I recall an incident that happened some time ago. I told my wife that I was travelling to Calabar for an official assignment, but ended up with my girlfriend in a hotel, and she found out.

''The incident almost destroyed my home but thanks to God my wife was able to forgive and forget put the ugly incident behind, ‘’ he said.

obi, who described infidelity as 'a careless act,’ advised men to desist from it.

A female boutique operator, who pleaded anonymity, said the desire to keep up with the latest fashion trend made her to cheat on her husband.

According to her, the husband, a low income earner, was financially incapable of meeting her insatiable material needs.

''Besides, my hubby and I fight over things that are not relevant and I lie to him most times to raise extra cash to buy something, which he considers unnecessary.

''I have not been faithful in my marriage because of the temptation to stay on top of the fashion trend which is way beyond the financial capacity of my husband.

''Besides the extra cash my boyfriend gives me, whenever I want to collect money from my husband for food stuff and other basic necessities I always double the cost.

''This has become a habit for me and whenever I don’t get my share in any shopping I do on behalf of the family, I get angry and pick on my husband at any little provocation, ‘’ she added.

A legal practitioner who offered a coined name - Mr Kayode - blamed his adulterous actions on lack of intimacy, emotional disconnection and lack of friendship with his wife.

Kayode who described marriage as ``one difficult school you cannot graduate from till you die,’’ stated that the only way to escape was to stay single.

''I am a temperamental person and when I newly got married, it was not easy for my wife whose temper is also short.

''Both of us hardly agree on anything and the only escape route for me is to seek love and affection elsewhere.

''My girlfriend understands me and she tolerates a lot, unlike my wife who blows up like a bomb at the slightest provocation,’’ he said.

Rihanna & leonardo becoming more than a hook up

Are Rihanna and Leonardo becoming more than just a hot hookup? Rihanna made Leo a shocking promise about her body that totally ‘blew her mind.’

Leonardo DiCaprio, 40, is “hitting all the right spots” for Rihanna, 26. The sexy stars have turned up the heat in their hookups, and the “S&M” singer even made Leo a big promise about her body!  And we can  reveal all the details.

Rihanna & Leonardo DiCaprio Falling In Love? She Makes Him Promise About Her Body
“Rihanna has always been the type of girl who does whatever she wants, when she wants. She wants a new tattoo on her body, but she’s stuck because Leo asked her to promise him she won’t let the needle touch her body until she falls in love again. She’s a woman of her word and she’s sticking to that,”

Of course, Rihanna is up for the challenge, and it’s making her fall for Leo even more — especially because he’s not begging her to fall in love with him.

“He wasn’t possessive and that blew her mind,” our source continues. “She thinks he’s playing some type of mind game with her and she’s intrigued by it. Rihanna loves a challenge, and he’s unlike the dudes in her past, those were boys. This is Leo, he’s something else. He’s hitting all the right spots and I’m not talking between her legs. He’s making her feel good and stimulating her on an entirely different level.”

It sounds like Leo is just the kind of man Rihanna needs! Not only does Leo satisfy her in the bedroom, but also with his wit and charm. So now we face the big question: will Rihanna fall in love with Leo?

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Meeting Rihanna’s Family — She Invited Him To Barbados
Rihanna may even say the L word sooner rather than later! Rihanna reportedly invited Leo to her home which is a huge step in any relationship!

“Rihanna doesn’t bring a guy home unless she really likes him,”. “This is a sign she adores him. She’s always thought he was cute. She loves his look, his sweet smile and his little nose.” So cute!

Why you should never share you make up

You’re probably well aware that you shouldn’t share your makeup. If not, we have some interesting, if not down right gross, information for you. Besides not being safe for your skin, our experts say there are many reasons why you should be selfish with your makeup and never share it again.

JARS OF LOTION
It’s no surprise that dipping and re-dipping fingers into a pot of cream is a recipe for germs, especially when you introduce a new set of hands. “Open jars are already at a higher risk for contamination because they don’t contain airtight packaging, which means bacteria and fungus often lurk on the inside borders of the jar,” explains Joshua Zeichner, assistant professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. So even if your friend scrubs her hands before dipping, there’s still a good chance she’ll transfer bacteria from her face or fingers to your favorite cream. To minimize the contamination of your next pot, try spooning a weekly portion of it into a smaller travel jar and wash it regularly.

LIP GLOSS

We’ve all been guilty of taking a quick swipe of a friend’s gloss during a beauty emergency (or middle-school makeover), but this borrowing act is more risky than you might think. “Any product that directly touches the lip can become a source of infections,” says Zeichner. “Contagious organisms, like the cold-sore-causing herpes simplex virus, can live in the sticky gloss and spread from friend to friend.” And because the applicator sits in its own closed, moist environment, it can never be fully rid of microbes once it’s contaminated. Bottom line: Keep your wands to yourself.
